Anna June
Anna June is an illustrator from Leiden. She is obsessed with shrimps, waves and crinkle-cut crisps. Her illustration work is often about people’s habits, humans versus nature and identity.
She graduated from the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht with a bachelor’s degree in Illustration in 2017. In the same year she established artists-collective ROEM together with Joosje Bosch. ROEM is a foundation that supports young local artists in Leiden.
“My drawings offer an insight into my head, where everything is allowed to flow, crumble and wobble.”
She works for clients such as De Groene Amsterdammer, NS, Trouw, Onze Taal, VPRO, Het Parool, Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Oneworld, Gall&Gall, H&W, Aedes, and Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Geneeskunde.
