Anna June
Anna June is an illustrator from Leiden with a preference for all shades of blue. She delicately translates heavy subjects into images filled with air and light. In her illustrations, she seeks out rhyming images and poetry. She draws inspiration from the waves in the sea and the clouds in the sky.
She graduated from the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht with a bachelor’s degree in Illustration in 2017. In the same year she established artists-collective ROEM together with Joosje Bosch. ROEM is a foundation that supports young local artists in Leiden.
"My drawings offer a glimpse into my mind, where everything is allowed to flow, crumble, and wobble."
She collaborates with clients such as De Groene Amsterdammer, VPRO, Het Parool, Trouw, Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Onze Taal, and De Standaard.
